Lost in Translation?

If you have ever tried to learn a new language, you know it is a hard thing to do. Sometimes the words just don't come out right. That's true when I try to speak Japanese! And it's sometimes true when people here write signs in English to help out people like me my family. Take a look at these signs. I figured out what they meant. Can you?

You're right about how hard it is when you try to learn a language 'cause it can take months!!!!(especially if you try to learn 5 at a time!!)And I think they spelled "shoes" wrong because they wrote "shose" and I think it is " shoes"!!!!!!!

Sophie, your examples of how difficult it can be for foreigners to deal with the english language are really cut. I, for one, didn,t even get the first one???
We just had a similar experience: your grat aunt Josiane (my sister) just visited us from Switzerland and made great efforts to use her high-school english - we had lots of laughs as she was translating not only french but also german into very funny english. Love, Gaki
